Our Transformative Puppy Rearing Program

What differentiates us from the average breeder is our transformative approach to puppy rearing. We have a formal puppy rearing program in place and work with each puppy every day by engaging them with specific activities at appropriate levels during each of their developmental periods. In addition they are whelped and primarily raised in our home versus a kennel to give them the greatest human bonding opportunity. We begin working with our puppies when they are just three days old. Early scenting activities and bio-sensor handling are the focus during their neonatal period. Mental challenges for passive play mark their transitional period. Gun dog training, motion activities, woods walks, introductions to many different people, other dogs, and loads of learning are their focus as they enter their sensitive development period.
At our cost, our puppy families are invited to participate in a Behavioral Assessment and Research Questionnaire process when the puppy is one year old. The research is hosted by the Center for the Interaction of Animals & Society, Department of Clinical Studies, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.
( www.cbarq.org)   According to the Center for the Interaction of Animals and Society of the University of PA it is the only behavioral  assessment instrument of its kind to be extensively tested  for reliability and validity on large samples of dogs of many  breeds.Upon completion of the assessment you learn how your puppy ranks among his/her peers!
